RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Olivet College men's volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Dominican (Ill) University this afternoon at the Igini Sports Forum. The Stars won by scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-17.

Records: Olivet 1-6 overall, Dominican (Ill.) 4-0 overall
- Dominican scored the first five points of the first set and never trailed the rest of the way.
- The Stars raced out to an 11-3 lead in the second set. The Comets were able to close the gap to five points, 19-14, before Dominican scored six of the final seven points for the 25-15 win.
- Olivet held a pair of one-point leads in the third set. With the Comets holding a 4-3 lead, the Stars scored three straight points. They did not relinquish the lead for the rest of the set.
- For the match, freshman Aaron Smith had a team-high six kills.
- Senior Brock Pringle was next with four kills.
- Senior Aaron Giorgi recorded 14 set assists.
- Giorgi and Pringle each had three digs.
- Dominican is receiving votes in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
- Seventeen players saw action in the match.
- George Kougan had 10 kills, with only one error on 15 attacks for a .600 hitting percentage.
- Adrian Cebula tallied seven kills and a .750 attack percentage.
- Jack McGuire registered 15 set assists.
- Bregin DeMarco collected four digs.
- Olivet plays a 7 p.m. match next Monday, Feb. 10, at Lawrence Technological Institute.
