Carthage Moves to No. 4 in AVCA Poll
LEXINGTON, Ky. (MCVL.org) - With two wins over top-15 programs in its first four matches, Carthage moved up five spots to No. 4 in this week's AVCA Top-15 Poll.
 
The Red Men started their season with a 3-1 win over Marymount, who was ranked 14th in the preseason poll. This past weekend, at the Jim Coleman Invitational, Carthage pulled the upset on sixth-ranked Juniata in four sets, led by Braeden Waumans 18-kill effort. As a team, the Red Men hit .258 with four players hitting above .300. At the net, Carthage totaled six total blocks, led by Zach Lillig who finished with four.
 
Mount St. Joseph is receiving votes in the poll after starting the season at No. 14.
