CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - Carthage's Tony Allen and Evan Walsh have been named Player of the Week for the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League.
In the lone match of the week, Carthage defeated Marian in four at home.
Allen led the defensive charge, finishing with 12 digs, averaging 3.00 per set. He currently ranks eighth in the league for digs at 2.39 per set and 10th for total digs with 110.
Walsh's offense motored the Red Men to victory, hitting .520 with 16 kills, averaging 4.00 per set. Walsh added six digs and six total blocks, scoring 20 points in four sets.
