Marcinkowski and Rothstein Highlight Weekly MCVL Awards
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (MCVL.org) - The performances of Noah Marcinkowski (Adrian) and Zach Rothstein (Fontbonne) earned the duo Player of the Week honors from the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League.
 
Marcinkowski led the Bulldogs to a 1-2 week, which included a win against Hiram. In the win, Marcinkowski registered 17 kills while hitting .343. For the week, the sophomore outside tallied 45 kills, averaging 3.75 per set at a .293 percentage. Marcinkowski added 17 digs, four blocks and three service aces to round out his stat line. Heading into the weekend, Marcinkowski leads the MCVL with 269 kills this season.
 
Rothstein turned in another stellar defensive week for the Griffins, resulting in a 6-1 trip out to the east coast. The libero collected 93 digs, averaging 4.23 per set while chipping in 17 assists. Rothstein leads the league with 299 digs heading into the final weekend.
