Chisholm, Lillig and Milabu Named MCVL Players of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (MCVL.org) - The final round of weekly awards for the 2018 season included Andrew Chisholm (Mount St. Joseph), Zach Lillig (Carthage) and Johnny Milabu (Greenville), as announced by the league office.

Chisholm ended the regular season hitting .385 and .625 against North Central and Carthage, combining for 17 kills. With his selection, Chisholm became the fourth player in league history to be named player of the week three times in one season. 

Lillig rattled off 20 kills and 11 blocks, including eight blocks against Wittenberg as Carthage finished the regular season with a pair of 3-0 sweeps against Mount St. Joseph and Wittenberg. Lillig hit .450 against the Lions and .538 against the Tigers.

Milabu capped his season in a big way, totaling 28 kills over his final three matches. In a 3-2 loss to Augustana, Milabu hit .519 with 15 kills to lead the Panthers. In the regular season finale, Milabu hit .600 with seven kills against Maranatha Baptist.
