Hascher and Rothstein Named MCVL Players of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (MCVL.org) – MSJ's Jason Hascher and Fontbonne's Zach Rothstein headline this week's honorees in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's Player of the Week.

Jason Hascher earns Offensive Player of the Week with his performance last week leading MSJ with 30 kills on 69 attempts finishing with a .246 average. In the match against Nazareth, Hascher totaled 9 kills and two service aces.

Zach Rothstein is rewarded Defensive Player of the Week as he led the Griffins posting 25 digs over six sets leading the team with 155 on the season. In the four-set victory over Hunter College, Rothstein finished with 20 digs.

This is MSJ's third MCVL Player of the Week and first since week six when Ben Holt was named Co-Offensive. Fontbonne brings home their third MCVL Player of the Week of the season and first since week six as well when Emir Hadzisalihovic was named Co-Offensive.
