ALLIANCE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace's men's volleyball program defeated top-seeded host Mount Union in four sets to claim the 2023 MCVL Volleyball Tournament Championship, securing an automatic bid to the 2023 Men's Volleyball Championships.

The Yellow Jackets, whom claimed a Regular Season Tri-Champion title as well, split the opening two sets with the Purple Raiders before winning the final two sets, 27-25 and 30-28, respectively. Baldwin Wallace, in just its third season as a program, will find out its opponent in the NCAA Championships at 10 a.m. ET during the Men's Volleyball selection show on NCAA.com. 

Michael Beard led the attack with 17 kills at a blistering .324 clip. Michael Devlin totaled 19 kills in support while Nick Irelan finished with 10. Brandon Long dished out 51 assists to facilitate the Yellow Jacket attack, which posted 60 kills in four sets. Aiden Kim had 10 digs and zero reception errors defensively.  

For Mount Union, Jack McClure had a team-high 14 kills while Cameron Ternent had 13. Will Heeney had 40 assists. Aaron Armour anchored the backline with 10 digs.
