MCVL Announces Week Two Honors

MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) released its second edition of the 2024 weekly awards, recognizing Olivet's Quinn Dickerson and Baldwin Wallace's Aiden Kim. 

Dickerson earned Offensive Player of the Week while Kim was named Defensive Player of the Week. 

Dickerson racked up 33 combined kills in two matches for the Comets over the weekend. In a matchup against North Park, the senior middle blocker had 22 kills on 34 attempts, attacking at a .500 clip, in a victory for Olivet. Dickerson followed that with another double-digit kill performance, finishing with 11 kills in four sets against Marian. For the two matches, he hit a combined .462 and had 4.13 kills per set. 

Kim had 14 digs for Baldwin Wallace in a four-set victory over Buffalo State. The 20th-ranked Yellow Jackets held serve in their first two matches of the 2024 season, defeating Buffalo State and Eastern Mennonite at their home invitational.
