MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday morning, honoring Mount Union's Jack McClure and Baldwin Wallace's Reed Fisher. 

McClure earned Offensive Player of the Week while Fisher was recognized as Defensive Player of the Week. Both Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace opened up their 2024 MCVL slates with two wins on the first weekend of conference play.

McClure racked up 60 kills over three games for the Purple Raiders, averaging 5.45 kills per set. The senior outside hitter hit .322 on 118 attempts over the three-match span. The Massillon, Ohio native had a whopping 27 kills in Mount Union's four-set win over Olivet. He then followed that with an 18-kill outing in a four-set victory over Adrian.

Fisher played an integral role for Baldwin Wallace at the net with 11.0 combined blocks in two sweep wins for the Yellow Jackets. The Freedom, Pa. native had four blocks against Adrian and followed that with seven blocks against Olivet.

McClure wins his second weekly award of 2024, being named to the same honor after the fourth week of competition. For Fisher, this is his first career weekly award honor.
