UOlivet falls to Mount St. Joseph

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team was swept by in three sets by Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) foe Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University this afternoon inside the Harrington Center.
THE BASICS
- Final Score: Mount St. Joseph defeated Olivet 25-22, 25-21, 25-16
- Location: Harrington Center; Cincinnati, Ohio
- Records: Olivet 2-17 overall, 0-5 MCVL; Mount St. Joseph 11-13 overall, 3-3 MCVL
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, the Lions led by six points, 16-10. The Comets battled all the way back to even the score at 20-20. Mount St. Jospeh scored five of the final seven points of the set to win it by a 25-22 score.
- Olivet built a three-point lead on two occasions in the second set. After the second time at 16-13, the Lions used a 7-1 run to take their own three-point lead, 20-17. Mount St. Joseph held the lead for the rest of the set.
- Following a Comet point to begin the first set, the Lions scored the next five points. The Lions did not surrender the lead for the remainder of the set.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Silas Martin recorded 11 kills.
- Sophomore Aiden Chamblee tallied six kills.
- Sophomore Andy Hok registered team-highs in set assists (23) and digs (seven).

- The Comets welcome the Calvin University Knights to the Cutler Event Center next Friday, March 28, for a MCVL match, starting at 7 p.m.
