MCVL Announces Week Five Award Winners

MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its weekly award winner for Week Five, honoring Wabash's Bawibawi Thang and Hunter Haas from Trine.

Thang earned Offensive Player of the Week while Haas was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. 

Thang, a freshman outside hitter from Indianapolis, racked up 18 kills in a sweep of Edgewood, matching the Little Giants' three-set record for kills in the process. Thang had an outstanding day overall at the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational, totaling 53 kills at a 4.42 kills per set clip. 

He hit .438 for the weekend with 59.5 points to lead Wabash to a 3-1 record at IWU. 

Haas totaled 26 digs and was without a reception error in two matches for the Thunder this weekend. Trine swept both SUNY Poly and Hilbert at Hilbert's triangular on Feb. 10.
