MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, with Trine's Ted Hofmeister and Kevin Boncaro collecting accolades. 

The Thunder completed a sweep of the MCVL's weekly awards as Hofmeister earned Offensive Player of the Week and Boncaro took home Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Hofmeister racked up 31 kills at a blistering .446 clip to lead the Thunder attack. The senior from Powell, Ohio averaged 5.4 points per set for Trine and posted 4.43 kills per set. 

Boncaro showed his defensive prowess from his outside hitter position, racking up 4.57 digs per set and a total of 32 overall digs in two matches. The junior from Rochester, N.Y. also posted 5.0 combined blocks in seven sets. 

Trine won both of its matches on the weekend in MCVL action, sweeping Olivet and downing Adrian in four sets.  The Thunder boast a 6-1 record in conference play and have secured a spot in the upcoming MCVL Tournament.
