Wittenberg to Host, Top-Four Seeds Set for 2024 MCVL Tournament

MCVL, U.S.A. — The field for the 2024 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Tournament is set, of which will be hosted by league-winner and top-seeded Wittenberg on April 12-13 in Springfield, Ohio. 

For the first time in program history, Wittenberg secured sole possession of the MCVL Regular Season Championship with an unblemished 9-0 record in league play. The Tigers will play host to the MCVL Tournament, also a first for the program. 

Trine, Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace all finished with 7-2 records in league play, making up the final three spots in the MCVL Tournament field. Due to tie-breaker scenarios, Baldwin Wallace earns the two-seed while Trine will be the three-seed. 

Mount Union rounds out the field as the four-seed. Second-seeded Baldwin Wallace will take on third-seeded Trine in the opening semifinal match at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, April 12. 

Top-seeded Wittenberg will then face off with fourth-seeded Mount Union in the nightcap at 7 p.m. ET. 

The 2024 MCVL Championship Match will then feature the two semifinal winners at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 13. The winner will earn the MCVL's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Championships.
