MCVL, U.S.A. — Trine's Ted Hofmeister and Hunter Haas were recognized as the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's (MCVL) Players of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. 

For the second-consecutive week, the Thunder earned a sweep of the weekly awards with Hofmeister recognized as back-to-back Offensive Player of the Week. Haas earns Defensive Player of the Week, a fitting cap to his decorated career at Trine. 

Hofmeister racked up 45 kills at an average of 5.0 kills per set, attacking at a blistering .344 clip. The senior outside hitter also had 5.0 blocks and 49.5 total points in nine sets. 

Haas had zero reception errors on 62 attempts and also racked up 36 digs in two matches for Trine. He averaged 4.0 digs per set over nine sets for the Thunder.

The 2024 MCVL Tournament is set for this weekend, April 12-13, in Springfield, Ohio, hosted by top-seeded Wittenberg.
