
MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) recognized Wabash's Bawibawi Thang and Baldwin Wallace's Reed Fisher as its Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, on Tuesday afternoon.
Thang earned his second Offensive Player of the Week award this season (Feb. 4) while Fisher picks up his first Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2025.
Thang helped Wabash to a 2-1 record this weekend, racking up 41 kills, an average of 4.56 kills per set. He hit at a blistering .449 clip and set a new program record with a .783 attack percentage and 19 kills in a sweep of Trinity Christian. The sophomore outside hitter also amassed 12 kills, hitting .474 in a sweep of St. Norbert, and added 10 kills against No. 14 Aurora.
Fisher, a senior middle hitter from Freedom, Pa., was a force at the net for the 19th-ranked Yellow Jackets all weekend. Baldwin Wallace earned sweeps of both Olivet and Adrian to open up MCVL play, aided by Fisher's 2.0 blocks per set. He totaled 12 blocks in BW's two matches, racking up seven against Adrian and adding five versus Olivet.
