Mount Union Clinches 2025 Regular Season Title, Plays Host to Upcoming MCVL Tournament

MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's (MCVL) dramatic season came to a close this weekend as Mount Union clinched the 2025 Regular Season Title and secured the top-seed and host-rights to the MCVL Tournament this weekend. 

The Purple Raiders completed an unblemished 8-0 season in league play with a five-set victory on the road over Baldwin Wallace. Mount Union claimed its second overall MCVL Regular Season Championship with the victory (2023) and first outright. The Purple Raiders also hosted the MCVL Tournament in 2023, falling to Baldwin Wallace in the Championship Match. 

Looking ahead at the upcoming MCVL Tournament, the championship event will take place April 11-12 inside Mount Union's Timken Gymnasium in Alliance, Ohio. The winner will earn the MCVL's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Volleyball Championships. 

Mount Union earned the top seed while fellow Ohio-schools Wittenberg and Baldwin Wallace are the second and third seeds, respectively. Trine, finishing at 5-3 in league play, will be the fourth seed.
