ST. LOUIS, Mo.— The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team extended its winning streak out to seven after earning two sweeps over Wittenberg.

Set Breakdown
Set 1: Fontbonne held a marginal lead early but stretched it out to 16-10 on a Tigers attack error. The team expanded its lead out to 22-15 and went on for the 25-19 opening set victory.
Set 2: The Griffins grabbed the early lead with a kill from Ryan Lively giving them a 12-7 advantage. They never relinquished its lead the rest of the way securing the 25-19 victory on Joseph Huster's kill.
Set 3: A kill from Dominic Melchiorre trimmed the Tigers deficit down to 12-11. However, the Griffins went on a 8-1 run with a solo block from Huster giving Fontbonne a comfortable 20-12 lead. It was all Griffins the rest of the way winning the set and the match, 25-17.
Head-to-Head
- Fontbonne finished with 40 kills and a .346 hitting percentage.
- Wittenberg ended with 28 kills and a .143 hitting percentage.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Ryan Lively led with a game-high 13 kills and .455 hitting percentage.
- Braden Woolsey continued his strong play with nine kills and just one error for a .500 hitting percentage. He also set a new career-high with eight digs.
- Huster and Grant Garza added six kills each.
- Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell handed out a game-high 34 assists.
- Defensively, Zach Rothstein led with 10 digs.

Set Breakdown
Set 1: The Griffins jumped on the Tigers early with a 14-3 lead on three straight kills from Cameron Graves and Joseph Huster (two). The team dominated the rest of the way for the 25-11 win.
It was quite the statement opening set from Fontbonne with 16 kills and a game-high .682 hitting percentage.
Set 2: It was more of the same story in the second with three consecutive blocks giving Fontbonne a 16-7 lead. The team finished off the Tigers 25-14 on Lively's kill.
Set 3: The Griffins once again started fast in the third owning a 17-6 lead. Fontbonne was able to go on for the 25-13 set and match win.
Head-to-Head
- Fontbonne finished with 36 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
- At the net, the Griffins finished with two solo blocks, six block assists, and five blocks overall.
- Wittenberg rounded out with 15 kill and 20 errors for a negative -.066 hitting percentage.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Lively led once more with a game-high 11 kills and .400 hitting percentage.
- Huster ended with seven kills and a .556 hitting percentage.
- Grant Garza also finished with a season-high seven kills and .455 hitting percentage.
- Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell added a game-high 30 assists.
- Zach Rothstein led with a game-high 11 digs. He's moved into a tie for second all-time with 1,220 career digs.
