ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men’s volleyball team made quick work of another conference foe on Saturday after sweeping past Mount St. Joseph.

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team made quick work of another conference foe on Saturday after sweeping past Mount St. Joseph.

Set Notes
Set 1: The Griffins trailed 11-9 early in the first, but responded with a 10-2 run capped off by four straight service aces from Ryan Lively. It was all Fontbonne the rest of the way securing the 25-20 opening set win.
Fontbonne totaled 12 kills and a .320 hitting percentage. Braden Woolsey led with four kills on five swings and added two solo blocks at the net. Joseph Huster contributed three kills and a .750 hitting percentage.
Set 2: It was back-and-forth action in the second with neither team giving way. MSJ led 16-15, but a kill from Huster and two errors from the Lions gave Fontbonne a little breathing room at 18-16.
From there, the Griffins ended the set on a 7-3 run with a Lions service error giving Fontbonne the 25-19 victory.
Fontbonne had another strong set offensively with 13 kills and a .242 hitting percentage. Nate Paasch recorded four kills on nine swings to lead the way.
Set 3: In the third, the Griffins put the Lions in a 16-9 hole on Lively's kill. With the Griffins having 10 kills and a match-high .350 hitting percentage they cruised to the 25-18 set and match win. Lively and Huster dominated the third with four kills each.
