Men's Volleyball Earns Four-Set Win Over Olivet

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Rasi Bailey had 11 kills and Jakob Pickett put down 10 as the Siena Heights men's volleyball team claimed a 3-1 win over non-conference opponent Olivet on Tuesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

The Saints won with set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Zak Tucker had a solid all-around effort with 38 assists, 10 digs, three aces and three blocks. Jacob Kisner made 12 digs, Bernard Bell had three blocks and Luke Anderson smacked two aces.

The Saints (2-1) opened the first set with a 4-0 run and never trailed to take a 1-0 match lead. Olivet returned the favor in the back-and-forth second, which featured 12 ties. The final tie, at 17-17, was decided by an 8-4, set-ending run by the Comets.

SHU and Olivet were knotted at 16-16 in the third before the Saints went up with a 4-0 streak and held the lead through the set.

The Saints broke a 10-all tie in the fourth, running a 10-4 stretch, and led the rest of the way.

Siena Heights will return to action on Friday with a 7 p.m. WHAC contest at Indiana Tech.
