KENOSHA, Wis.—The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team suffered its second straight loss falling to No. 3 Carthage in straight sets.

Set Notes
Set 1: The Firebirds opened with an 11-4 lead on Carter Schmidt's kill. Carthage remained in control the rest of the way going on for the 25-16 win.
Fontbonne had 10 kills and a .214 hitting percentage in the first. Nate Paasch led with four kills and Ryan Lively added three.
Set 2: The Firebirds started fast again in the second, but Fontbonne narrowed the deficit to 10-6 on Joseph Huster's kill. The Firebirds stretched its lead out to 17-10 and went on for the 25-17 victory.
The Griffins had 10 kills on 19 swings in the second set with Huster having five kills and a 1.000 hitting percentage.
Set 3: The Firebirds put the Griffins in a 10-4 hole in the third on Matt Slivinski's kill. It was all Carthage the rest of the way for the 25-17 match win.
