Wittenberg Back to the MCVL in 2021

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) welcomes back Wittenberg University to the fold, beginning with the 2021 season, increasing its membership to nine institutions for the 2021 campaign.

The Tigers played three seasons in the MCVL, spanning from the program's inception in 2016 to 2018, before joining the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in 2019.  Wittenberg won at least four games in conference play in each of their three seasons in the MCVL and advanced to the AMCC title match in 2019.

"We are so pleased to welcome back Wittenberg to the MCVL. It has been a great year for membership in our league," commented MCVL Commissioner Chuck Yrigoyen. "We will go from the current six members to nine for the 2021 season. It is surely an exciting time of expansion for our student-athletes and coaches."

With the addition of Wittenberg, Wabash, Baldwin-Wallace and Wittenberg will be three new faces to add to the MCVL's six-team membership in 2021.

MCVL league play begins on Feb. 18 as Adrian takes on Trine at home.
