MCVL, U.S.A -- The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League today announced its second weekly award-winners for 2023. Baldwin Wallace's Michael Devlin was chosen Offensive Player of the Week and Trine's Hunter Haas was the pick for Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Michael Devlin, Baldwin Wallace (So., RS) Zelienople, Pa.
- Racked up 70 kills to in five matches for BW.
- Posted 22 kills in a win over (RV) Randolph Macon and 15 kills in a win over Emmanuel.
- Averaged 3.68 kills per set and hit .325 vs. Randolph Macon and .432 vs. Emmanuel.
- Attended Seneca Valley High School
Defensive Player of the Week
Hunter Haas (Jr., DS/L) Cincinnati, Ohio
- Averaged a team-high 3.0 digs per set and had double-digit digs in both matches.
- Had zero reception errors on 35 attempts in serve receive.
- Included a 3-1 non-conference victory over Wabash.
- 2021 and 2022 MCVL Defensive Player of the Year.
- Attended Bishop Moeller High School.
