MCVL, U.S.A -- The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League today announced its seventh weekly award-winners for 2023. Mount Union's Cameron Ternent was chosen Offensive Player of the Week and Trine's Sam Bhandal was the pick for Defensive Player of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week

Cameron Ternent (Jr., OH) Massillon, Ohio

• Racked up 24 kills at an average of 4.0 kills per set to help UMU to a 2-0 start in MCVL play.
• Hit .611 in six sets played, making just two attack errors on 36 attempts.
• Earned his league-leading third OPOTW Award of 2023.
• Attended Massillon Jackson High School.

Defensive Player of the Week

Sam Bhandal (Jr., OH) Marysville, Wash.

• Racked up 35 digs at an average of 3.89 digs per set.
• Added 99 assists and four blocks.
• First Career DPOTW Award.
• Attended Marysville High School.
